Hi, we are still marveling at how much difference sealing and insulation made in our 1909 farmhouse in West Olympia. You did that for us in April of 2015.  We have highly recommended you to a friend of ours and hope you can help them save as you have us.

This winter has been a good test of our home improvements. Thanks for your good work.

Lynn W.

I called the Energy Advisor at Puget Sound Energy on Nov 7, 2016, to inquire about their free Home Energy Assessment. When I asked about insulation rebates, they referred me to two local home insulation contractors in my area. I was called that same day by Claudette at Echo Energy, LLC in Lacey to schedule a free home inspection the next morning (Election Day) with Johnny, one of the co-owners. I have an older (1960s) 3-bdrm single story home located in Olympia, WA.

Johnny arrived on time, fully prepared to complete a thorough home inspection, including under the house and attic crawl spaces. I knew that I needed insulation and duct repair work, especially because my dryer vent had recently come loose in the attic crawl space and it was beyond my reach. Johnny took time to answer all my questions and concerns, including all available energy rebates, crawl space repairs needed, rodent protection measures, and explain the cost efficiency of each recommendation on his written estimate. Most of the recommendations were high priority, since oncoming winter weather was a factor.

Johnny agreed to schedule all the work during the short week between Christmas and New Years. In four days, he and his crew completely replaced all my floor insulation, replaced the heating ducts they determined were damaged, removed all debris and installed a new vapor barrier in the crawl space under the house.  They performed crawl space air seal of all plumbing and electrical floor penetrations, and replaced duct connections with mastic. They installed new rodent protection barrier at the crawlspace entry and over foundation air vents. In the attic crawlspace, they performed several needed measures to prevent moisture build up. They installed two additional roof air vents with baffles from ceiling fans in the bathroom and kitchen. Johnny convinced me to install a new Panasonic Whisperselect whole-house ventilation fan in the bathroom that is quieter and much more efficient than the existing one was. They air sealed the entire attic floor. The only recommendation of his that I elected to due at a future time, was install more attic insulation. They did spread my existing old insulation out more evenly. My dryer vent now is ducted through the floor and out through an existing foundation air vent.

I waited to write this review to ensure my PSE bill for January reflected a lower than expected energy usage, which, in fact, it does. I also just happened to notice that snow on my roof doesn't melt nearly as fast as before, if that indicates what I think it does. There are no "hot spots" on the roof appearing during the snow melt off.

I would definitely recommend having Echo Energy, LLC perform an inspection and work estimate for any home where proper air ventilation, moisture control, and insulation is a concern.

The work crew I had under Johnny's supervision at my house were all respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient workers who I would have back if the occasion ever arises again.

All things considered, I'd rate a five out of five stars.

"Your employees are the greatest!!  Restores my confidence in the work ethic of this generation!!  Stars in a sometimes dark time!!

The three young men deserve high fives -- wonderful workers!

When they left there was no trace that anyone had been "underground" pulling out debris and restoring the insulation. I noticed one of the employees picking up bits of stuff, maybe even leaves or twigs!!

The comfort level in my condo is increased and enhances the heating by the ductless heat pump. So glad I finally had work done that was recommended for years!"

Thanks again
